Kim van Lieshout

Kim van Lieshout is a senior manager in OVO's Sustainability team. She has helped to reform the way that OVO accounts for their carbon impact, by introducing scope 4 accounting and encouraging the move away from market-based accounting and REGO certificates. She supports the business to drive progress towards true net zero across all areas of OVO's impact (from direct operations to customer's homes), focusing on real decarbonisation rather than relying on certificate-based schemes. Her other responsibilities include sustainable procurement, ESG reporting, and other business partnering to embed sustainable practice across the business. Before her role in the energy sector, she worked in sustainability consulting at Deloitte, with a focus on carbon accounting and assurance, climate risk analysis and net zero strategy.
