Jennifer Beckwith
Jennifer leads CBI policy and campaigning to create the market-conditions for growth in the UK’s green industries, including the team’s new government engagement strategy. She oversees work shaping the delivery of Clean Power 2030, representing investor, developer and industrial members. A people, policy, and public affairs leader, Jennifer worked with HM Treasury and the TUC on the design of the Job Retention Scheme, advised FTSE executives to navigate changing Covid-19 regulatory environments, and complex new issues, including immigration, supply chain transparency, and ESG legislation. Prior to the CBI, Jennifer was a policy researcher on public service reform at a London charity. She holds a Master’s (cum laude) in Social and Economic History from Utrecht University, Netherlands. She lives in South London with her husband and their two cats, is learning Portuguese and volunteers at a local food charity.
