Karl began his career as an intern with the UN before working as an intelligence officer with the UK government. After senior roles in central and local government, he led large public private partnership programmes in the regeneration, education, and energy sectors, before being appointed as Director of Property for the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. Karl joined the business in 2017 and has been in his current role as Director of Strategy & External Relations since 2019. He is a proud alumnus of UK's comprehensive school system and now holds degrees from the Universities of Cambridge, Sheffield, and Kent. Karl is also a Fellow of the University of Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy, an Academician of the UK Academy of Urbanism,  and is currently undertaking post grad research into ‘AI and the future of work’ at the University of Cambridge Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence.
