Paul Gardner is Chief Procurement Officer and leads on sustainability for Mars Petcare, which looks after brands including Whiskas, Pedigree, Nutro and Sheba, to name a few. Paul joined Mars in 2019 as VP Commercial, Europe, before taking on the role of CPO in 2021. In his current role, Paul is focused on end-to-end supply chain transformation, developing strategies to address the changing supply landscape and ensure supply chain stability, as well as accelerating Pet Nutrition’s sustainability agenda.  

Prior to joining Mars, Paul spent 20 years with Danone, notably leading the Milk Category for eight years and then all Raws & Packs within the DanTrade purchasing company. He previously held senior manufacturing and purchasing roles at Kraft, Nestle and Danone. He has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing.
